This privacy policy applies to the Broadcast mobile application and related services, collectively referred to as the "Services".
We recognize the importance of safeguarding your personal information and data. This policy describes the types of data we collect, how it is used, and with whom it is shared.
Our privacy practices are designed to inform you about the data we collect and to obtain your consent for any data sharing or collection where it is required. We also aim to give you control over your information and respond promptly to any questions or concerns.
Data Collection
Data You Provide
When creating an account, we collect your name, email address, username, profile photo, and any other information you choose to provide. This allows us to create and manage your account.
If you use paid services, we collect payment details to process your purchase. This data is stored securely with our third-party payment processor.
We also collect any data you submit through the service, such as content, comments, messages, etc. You choose what information to provide or make public through the service.
Automatic Data Collection
We automatically collect certain technical data from your device when you use the Services, such as your IP address, device type, operating system version, and usage data. This allows us to maintain and improve our services.
Data From Third Parties
We may obtain some data from third-party services, such as your basic profile information when authenticating through Google or other single sign-on providers.
Data Use
We use your data to provide, maintain, and improve the Services. This includes using data to:

We do not sell or rent your personal data to third parties without your explicit consent.
Use of Large Language Models
To provide certain features in our service, we may utilize large language models (LLMs) - AI systems trained on large datasets.
We do not train LLMs directly on any data provided by users of Broadcast. The models we use are pre-trained by vendors and research groups on broad public datasets.
We may send limited samples of user data to LLMs solely for processing related to the requested service functionality. For example, to automatically summarize key points from meeting notes. The data is not retained by the LLM providers for model training or other purposes.
The LLM services we use contractually prohibit utilizing customer data for training their models. We vet these providers to ensure they meet our privacy standards.
After processing, results from the LLM are returned without any retained user data. We do not store or share any raw user data with LLM providers.
We aim to minimize data sharing with third-party systems. If an LLM provider were to improperly utilize customer data, we would immediately discontinue their use.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share your data with third parties except in the following cases:
- With your explicit consent, which is obtained separately from Google OAuth or other login provider consent.
- With third-party service providers working on our behalf who are vetted for security and privacy compliance. Their access is limited to the data needed to provide their service.
- As required by law, such as to comply with regulations or legal obligations.
If required for mergers, acquisitions, or sale of the company assets, we may transfer data to the new party, subject to the agreements in place.
Limited Use
Broadcast' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
User Consent
We obtain your explicit consent before sharing any of your personal data with third-party tools or services, such as AI processing. This consent is separate from login provider OAuth approval.
You have the right to decline any data sharing that is not essential for us to provide you with the core Broadcast service.
User Control
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by reaching out to privacy@withbroadcast.com.
You may adjust your data sharing preferences through your account settings.
Data Security
We employ appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect the security of your data. Access is restricted to authorized employees only.
However, no method of data transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We will promptly notify users in the event of a breach.
Data Retention
We retain your data only as long as required to provide you with the Services or as necessary to comply with legal obligations. We periodically review and purge unnecessary data.
International Data Transfers
We utilize approved data transfer mechanisms when transferring data across borders to ensure compliance with data protection laws.
Do Not Track Signals
We respond to "Do Not Track" signals received from your browser by not collecting unnecessary data about your activity across sites.
Third-Party Services
